Company Description Located in Shanghai, Development Centre East Asia is affiliated to the IKEA of Sweden. Our assignment is to lead product development capabilities close to people and partners in strategic locations to deliver IKEA product range with simplicity, speed and low cost. Through Democratic Design we ensure a relevant product range on IKEA markets with a strong IKEA identity and uniqueness. We are now looking for Product Design Developer, come to join us! Job Description You will lead range and product development as a part of the Development Team. By engaging with people and the full capabilities of the IKEA value chain, you will deliver products with unique IKEA identity that lives up to our idea of Democratic Design. -Create a business case based on growth, securing a profitable range. -Building of the complete product range offer in assigned range and product area. -Product Design Development recourse planning, Product Design Resource planning and Holding content together -Identification and co creation of strategic range design stories -Visualization and communication of the range and product movements before and during the development process Leading exploration and co creation in the team -Creating clear briefs for designers -Lead development on the factory floor and store floor Qualifications We are looking for someone with passion and capability to: -Create and drive business growth through projects and products with low prices for the many people -Lead business through people with value-based leadership, Leading team to take decisions and move forward in the creative process together balancing all relevant input for optimal Democratic Design and to strengthen the IKEA identity -Lead and work on both tactical and operational levels, being in hands on and love to being close to reality, developing our products at supply and store floors together with our many partners. -Find better ways and getting tings things done -Customer in mind, co-creating with consumers and developing in the home and on the factory floor and customer meeting points -Learn new things, testing new tools and ways of working with open-mind set. Capability to work and deliver many projects simultaneously under time constrains. -Sustainability and Circularity knowledge is a plus, passionate to create products that are good for the nature and our world -Transfer knowledge about customer insight into products, Market Intelligence capability is plus
